Q:I'm looking at matte finish polishes and can't decide between Essie and Orly. Which do you recommend?

Hmmm I’ve only used the Essie one, I haven’t tried the Orly one so I can’t give you the best opinion. (I chose to buy the Essie one because it was the first one I saw). I like the Essie one, it does make everything very very matte. The best advice I can give you though, is use a regular top coat first and THEN put the matte top coat on top of that. It makes a huge difference in how smooth and even it looks. I can’t remember where I got that advice but thanks to them! haha
